How long have you been in business?
We have been in business since 1960. We are in our 57th year.
What is your primary product or service?
We rent various types of equipment from Tables, Chairs, Tents & many other party item to John Deere full size backhoes. We have homeowners & Contractor tools and supplies. We also sell Stihl products. We also repair almost every type equipment. Too much to list here. You can see our products on our website @ unirents.com
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Our parents opened one of the first rental stores in New Jersey in 1960. My brother and I came to work with our father when we were young and after we graduated from school we worked full time. While I was in College this area experienced a recession and I was asked to come to help during the slow times. In 1993 My bother and I took over Full operation of our company and my father retired.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We rent equipment that people will need to complete a project that they don't want to purchase. May it be for the cost of the item, just can't store the item or they just need it for a one time project.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We only have 1 location.

From Hamburg Turnpike turn onto Ringwood Avenue and we are located 1 mile up on the right. From 287N : Take Exit 55 at the end of the ramp make a Left and we are the 2nd building on the Left. From 287S: Take Exit 55 at the end of the ramp make a right. Go to the traffic light and make a right onto Ringwood Avenue. We are the 2nd building on the Left.

We accept: Cash, Visa & MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

We serve Bergen, Passaic and Morris Counties

Sunday 8am - 1pm Monday 7am - 5:30pm Tuesday - Friday 8 am - 5:30pm Saturday 7:30am - 5pm Holidays 8am - 12pm Closed New Years Day, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas

We come here because your always fair and honest on all of your repairs and rentals.
